Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent, old time example of "miemite" dolomite from Meimo, Italy!!! This specimen consists of a light yellow green matrix of
massive prehnite that hosts a striking cluster of pristine, gemmy, razor-sharp crystals of "miemite" dolomite!!!
The dolomite crystals have blocky, complexly modified habits with marked luster, gemmy clarity, and razor sharp undamaged faces!!! This specimen is
in superb quality, however, it was difficult to capture just how fine these colorless, superbly crystallized dolomite crystals are in the pictures!!! These
pictures don't even come close to doing these unusually fine dolomite crystals justice - the prehnite matrix threw the digital camera off!!! This specimen is WAY better
than the pics show!!! This specimen retains an old circa 1940's Schortmann's label as well!!
