Dolomite pseudomorph after Halite Fairview, Major Co., Oklahoma 8.5cm x 4.3cm x 2.8cm Ex. Glenn Nicol Collection No. 433 acquired June 1960

Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of dolomite after halite from Oklahoma!!! This specimen consists of what had once been a large, hoppered cubic halite crystal that has been completely replaced by dolomite!!! The pseudomorph is comprised of a complex skeletal network of dolomite coated by tiny crystals of dolomite!!! This specimen is from the collection of Glen Nicol and retains an old note indicating it was acquired in 1960!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreicated!!!
