Dolomite Phoenixville Tunnel (Black Rock Tunnel), Phoenixville, Chester Co., Pennsylvania 9.32cm x 8.2cm x 3.3cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of dolomite from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of group of large, intergrown crystals of dolomite!!! The crystals are sharp and have marked luster!!! There is a lone crystal of quartz (smoky?) tucked amongst the dolomite crystals as well!!! The dolomite crystals from this locality have historically been labelled in old collections as ankerite and apparently these specimens tend to be somewhere in the series between the two species!!!
