Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of elbaite tourmaline from the type locale in Italy!!! This specimen hosts a sharp, undamaged crystal of gemmy elbaite tourmaline prominently perched atop a matrix of quartz, albite, and lepidolite!!! There are several other crystals embedded in the matrix as well!!! The main crystal is complete and pristine with bright glassy luster and handsome greenish color with a darkly colored termination!!! The termination has sharply defined trigonal modifications on the edges!!! Very handsome and showy in person!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
