Ex. A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum #DM-5768
Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of bromian chlorargyrite (embolite) from this historic Colorado locality!!! This specimen hosts a
significant showing of bromian chlorargyrite on matrix!!! The broad face of this specimen hosts a significant coverage of masses and
crusts of grayish bromian chlorargyrite!!! Upon close inspection one can see areas of chlorargyrite all around
the specimen as well as a network of fine veins of chlorargyrite running throughout the specimen!!! Examples of
chlorargyrite are seldom seen from Leadville!!! This is rare, historic material!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum
and retains its original label and affixed catalogue number!!! This specimen likely dates to well over 100 years ago!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
