Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of these rare species from the type locale in Russia!!! This specimen hosts numerous areas of
dark reddish-orange embreyite and darkly colored vauquelinite in association with some gemmy red crystals of
crocoite and lively yellow-green crystals of pyromorphite in association!!!
The embreyite is present as groups of somewhat rounded, intergrown, blade-shaped reddish-orange crystals that form
mats and patches scattered about the specimen (there is a lot more to see upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope)!!! The
vauquelinite is present as very dark green (almost blackish) somewhat bladed, lustrous crystals covering portions of the
matrix and in close association with the other species!!! The crocoite crystals are gemmy and have
intense red color and characteristic form for the locale!!! The pyromorphite is present as lively yellow green prismatic crystals
and masses!!! This is OLD material!!! This specimen retains an old label from Sid Williams as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of
Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen
PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming
days and weeks!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
