Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of emerald from Austria!!! This specimen consists of a schist matrix that hosts a lustrous, translucent crystal of light green emerald!!! Interestingly, the historic label lists the locality as "Salzburg, Germany"!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Lord Calvert collection and had been sold by legendary mineral dealer Martin Ehrmann prior to WWII!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
