A rare locality example of enargite from Colorado!!! This specimen hosts numerous vugs lined with small
crystals of enargite in addition to some small pyrite crystals and an unidentified yellow-green species!!! There also appears to be a few larger
partial enargite crystals that have subsequently altered and are now partially coated with pyrite as well!!! There are also some submillimeter
crystals present on the enargite crystals!!! The yellow to yellow-green mineralization is quite curious - at first I mistook it for
some kind of powdery substance but it is actually quite rigid is most certainly crystalline material!!! This is a very unusual specimen and a very
rare locality example as well!!! This specimen retains an old Brandenberger label and has a corresponding affixed catalogue number as well!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!!
