Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of enargite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a tight cluster of sharp, lustrous enargite crystals in association with a small amount of
microcrystalline quartz!!! This specimen was donated to the museum by F.W. McNair who was a one time president of the Michigan School of Mines!!! This specimen likely dates to the early 1900's or before!!! The
picss hardly do it justice!!! The specimen retains its old Seaman Museum label with McNair notation!!!
