Enstatite Tilly Foster mine, Brewster, Putnam Co., New York 10cm x 7.5cm x 6cm Ex. Albert Peppis Collection No. A-75

Description/Interesting Notes: An unusually well crystallized example of enstatite from Tilly Foster!!! Usually, estatite from Tilly Foster is seen as massive material or as chunky groupings of the bronzite varietal - however this specimen consists of a thick layer of juxtaposed, intergrown crystals on matrix!!! The crystals are much more well defined and lustrous than the pics show!!! This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label!!!
