Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of this rare and sought after species from Franklin!!! This specimen
hosts a large and prominent mass of bright yellow fluorescent esperite in association with
franklinite, willemite, calcite, several unidentified species!!! The esperite
is present as a large and impressive contiguous mass that fluoresces an intense yellow under SW UV -
with some green fluorescent willemite, a small amount of reddish fluorescent calcite, and some small areas of
unidentified material that fluoresce a peach-yellow and other more subtle colors (these features are best appreciated
in person, as it was difficult to capture them in the UV pictures)!!! This specimen is quite showy and impressive in person!!!
Very rich material (and there is a lot more to see upon close inspection as well)!!!
with several other related species!!! The
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
