Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, rich example of this rare silver-copper selenide from Colorado!!! This specimen consists of a dense, significant mass of eucairite in
association with olive green tangeite (calciovolborthite)!!! This eucairite is present as dense grayish metallic masses that actually comprise
a significant portion of the entire specimen!!! This is an incredibly rich example of this rare silver-copper selenide!!! In addition
to the eucairite there are numerous areas of olive green tangeite (calciovolborthite) present as well!!! Upon close inspection there
appears to be possible azurite and malachite present as well!!! This specimen is from the collection of Dr. F.P. D'Esopo and
retains its original collection label as well!!! Dr. D'Esopo was a friend and protege of Bill Pinch (from whom he acquired many of his specimens)
and, under his tutelage amassed a truly
significant species collection of impressive breadth and quality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be
fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 1st!!!
