Description/Interesting Notes: A unique and rare example of ferrotantalite from Rhode Island!!! While this is a group of 20 individual crystals, there are five that are real stand-outs in my opinion!!! While the others are more or less alluvial, these five crystals exihibit very good crystal form and well defined crystal faces!!! These specimens are "glacial erratics" as noted by Tobey's detailed label - meaning that they were not native to the area's geology but were transported to this location via glacial movement!!!
