Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic example of purple fluorite from the Blackdene Mine in England!!! This specimen consists of a showy cluster of
purple fluorite crystals in association with a small amount of galena and quartz!!! The fluorite crystals are
razor-sharp with brilliant glassy luster and
clarity that ranges from translucent to flawless gem!!! The crystals have sharp cubic form, with some of the smaller crystals exhibiting the
characteristic interpenetrant twins common to the region!!! This specimen displays fantastically form several angles and is almost like a broad
stalactite in essense!!! The core of the specimen consists of greenish fluorite and the specimen stands on a "base" that consists of a much larger partial fluorite
crystal!!! This specimen is in superb condition with pristine, undamaged crystals all around!!! This specimen is intensely fluorescent and even
exhibits "daylight fluorescence" in much the same way Rogerley fluorite does!!!
There are pictures that capture its UV fluorescence as well as simulated daylight fluorescence!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
