Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of calcite and fluorite from Ohio!!! This specimen consists of a broad vug, lined with razor-sharp cubic crystals of amber brown fluorite that host a sharp, lustrous scalenohedral crystal of calcite!!! Although it is difficult to appreciate in the pictures, the fluorite crystals have a slight iridescence that is so characteristic of this locality!!! The calcite crystal is remarkably sharp and lustrous - with a complete and pristine termination!!! This striking calcite crystal also hosts a well defined phantom within that is the same color as the fluorite!!! Simply a fantastic combination specimen from this unique locality!!!
