Description/Interesting Notes:
A most impressive example of fluorite from New Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of large, showy
blue fluorite crystals on a quartz matrix!!! This specimen hosts some very large crystals for the locality measuring
up to 3.9cm!!! The fluorite crystals exhibit sharp cubic form with stepped modifications on the edges!!! The
crystals have rich blue color with pronounced blue color concentrated around the edges!!! Upon close inspection,
some crystals have slightly purplish phantoms within!!! The crystals have significant clarity and
areas of marked clarity!!! There is a small amount of galena scattered throughout the quartz
matrix as well!!! Individual fluorite crystals of such size are extremely rare from this
locality - this specimen hosts some of the largest fluorite crystals I have ever seen on a Blanchard fluorite!!!
Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
