Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of purple fluorite from Illinois!!! This specimen consists of a showy, elongated cluster of blocky fluorite crystals accented by brilliant, golden crystals of chalcopyrite!!! The fluorite crystals have a showy purple color that shows deeper purple throughout the crystals' cores!!! The crystals show particularly dramatic and involved stepped-features!!! There is a small amount of minor damage on the periphery although it does not detract in any significant way - this specimen displays gorgeously in person!!! WAY better than the pics show!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
