Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of fluorite included quartz from Madagascar!!! These specimens were part of a small, one time find
several years ago and they are nearly impossible to locate today!!! Out of all of the material, there were very few good "specimens" found,
as most were broken up chunks!!! This fine specimen consists of a pair of sharp, doubly terminated quartz
crystals that almost appear to exhibit some sort of interpenetrant twinning!!!
These quartz crystals host numerous, intensely colored, purple fluorite crystals included within!!! In addition to the fluorite
crystals, there are several "negative" crystals of fluorite - where the fluorite has "disappeared" - as well!!! The
fluorite crystals are significantly sized and brightly colored, and the quartz is clear
and lustrous - allowing one to easily see that these fluorite crystals within!!! Upon close inspection, one
can see that these crystals are not octahedrons, but actually tetrahexahedrons!!! Don't miss out on this unique
and showy specimen!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 20th!!!
