A fantastic example of this extraordinary combination of fluorite included in quartz!!!
These specimens were part of a small find a few years back and there is very little
material to be had!!! Out of all of the material there were very few good "specimens"
found, as most were broken up chunks!!! Nearly all the specimens were single crystals
and clusters such as this were very uncommon!!! This specimen consists of a pair of conjoined doubly terminated
quartz crystals, with one growing out of the other!!! On the opposing end of the main crystal are a group of
smaller associated quartz crystals as well!!! Both crystals host several fluorite crystals included within!!!
One of the crystals has much better clarity than the other, and luckily this is the end that has the
best fluorite crystal inclustions as well!!! This specimen has good clarity, luster,
sharpness of form, and quality for this locale!!! This locality produced only a very
small number of crystals with significant enough clarity and lustrous enough faces to
be able to appreciate the fluorite crystals within (nearly all the material had to be cut and/or polished)!!!
Also, upon close examination
these fluorite crystals are not octahedrons but actually TETRAHEXAHEDRONS!!! This is a
very rare habit indeed - one of the rarest fluorite crystal habits!!! This material has
all but disappeared since its initial, small one-time find!!! Don't miss out!!! The
pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
