A fantastic example of this extraordinary combination of fluorite included in quartz!!!
These specimens were part of a small find a few years back and there is very little material
to be had!!! Out of all of the material there were very few good "specimens" found, as most
were broken up chunks!!! This magnificent specimen consists of a sharp, single quartz
crystal with numerous, intensely colored, purple fluorite crystals included within and with
exceptional clarity, luster, sharpness of form, and quality for this locale!!! This locality
produced only a very small number of crystals with significant enough clarity and lustrous
enough faces to be able to appreciate the fluorite crystals within!!! One of the most
exciting things about this specimen is that it hosts an unusually large fluorite crystal for the locale - in
excess of 5mm!!! Whats more, is that upon close examination these fluorite crystals are not
octahedrons but actually TETRAHEXAHEDRONS!!! This is a very rare habit indeed - one of
the rarest fluorite crystal habits!!! This material has all but disappeared since its
initial, small one-time find!!! The pics hardly do this rare beauty justice!!!
