Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of fluorite included quartz from Madagascar!!! These specimens were part of a small find a few
years back and there is very little material to be had!!! Out of all of the material, there were very few good
"specimens" found, as most were broken up chunks!!! This specimen is exceptional however and consists of a group of sharp,
doubly terminated quartz crystals that host a number of intensely colored, purple fluorite crystals included within!!! While the great majority of
specimens were found as single crystals, clusters of crystals were very scarce!!! The crystals have numerous highly complex modifications and the
crystals are complete all around!!!
What is most exciting about this specimen, is that the fluorite crystals are large and
brightly colored, and the quartz is clear and lustrous - allowing one to easily see that these fluorite crystals
are not octahedrons, but actually tetrahexahedrons!!! This is a very rare habit indeed and this specimen allows
one to see it in magnificent illustration as a free-floating included fluorite crystal in quartz!!! The quartz
crystal is complete and in fantastic condition!!! The area that might at first appear to be damage in the
pictures is actually a complexly crystalline feature!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show!!!
These specimens are nearly impossible to find today in such condition!!! Despite a few minor dings, this specimen is in
magnificent condition for the locality!!! Don't miss out!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
