Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of this extraordinary combination of fluorite included in quartz!!!
These specimens were part of a small find a few years back and there is very little
material to be had!!! Out of all of the material there were very few good "specimens"
found, as most were broken up chunks!!! This magnificent specimen consists of a sharp, somewhat complex,
single quartz crystal with a second smaller crystal in association!!! This specimen has a few, intense purple fluorite crystals included
within and, for this locality, it has exceptional clarity, luster, sharpness of form, and quality!!!
This locality produced only a very small number of crystals with significant
enough clarity and lustrous enough faces to be able to appreciate the fluorite crystals
within!!! Even more, it allows one to see that
these fluorite crystals are not octahedrons but actually TETRAHEXAHEDRONS!!! This is a
very rare habit indeed - one of the rarest fluorite crystal habits!!! This material has
all but disappeared since its initial, small one-time find!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
