Gahnite Charlemont, Franklin Co., Massachusetts 10.4cm x 7.2cm x 6cm Ex. University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of gahnite from Massachusetts!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of intergrown crystals of very dark bluish green gahnite on matrix!!! In addition to the complex, intergrown crystals, there are also numerous, sharp octahedral crystals present as well!!! The crystals exhibit characteristic octahedral habits with complex, stepped modifications, as well as some macle-twinning!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pics show!!! This specimen is from the University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum and retains it museum label!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
