Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely incredible example of galena from this classic locale!!! This specimen hosts what are easily the most crystallographically remarkable examples of the species I have ever seen!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of intergrown galena crystals that exhibit complexly modified forms that I literally do not have the vocabulary to technically describe!!! The crystals appear as almost rounded octahedrons - many of which appear to be interpenetrant twins - that have truncated corners and in some cases concave features!!! To examine the crystals closely in person they are simply amazing!!! The crystals are sharp, lustrous, and in fantastic condition all around!!! This is a killer, old time beauty indeed (I am told that this is the true "steinmannite" galena of 19th century Pribram)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
