An outstanding, old time example of galena from this historic locality!!! This specimen consists of a pair of interpenetrant cubic galena crystals
perched on a small amount of matrix!!! The crystals are sharp and complete!!! The crystals exhibit numerous complex modifications on their faces and
cubo-octahedral modifications on the corners!!! The crystals have a gorgeous, antique patina with iridescent metallic highlights!!!
This specimen is in magnificent condition and displays fantastically in person!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and
retains its original label with L.L. Hubbard Collection (1849-1933) notation!!! This material dates well into the 19th century!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 16th!!!
