A magnificent combination of galena, marcasite, and sphalerite from Poland!!! This specimen consists of an aesthetic grouping of octahedral
galena crystals atop a matrix of sphalerite "Schalenblende" and marcasite!!! The galena crystals consist of silvery gray, octahedral crystals with
minor cubic modifications!!! The marcasite is present both as brassy-golden balls and a botryoidal form that serves as part of the matrix!!! The sphalerite is
present as a mass of "Schalenblende" coated by beige microcrystaline sphalerite crystals that serves as part of the matrix, as well as near colorless sphalerite crystals
perched on the surfaces of the galena crystals!!! "Schalenblende" is a unique blend of minerals that resembles banded agate but is comprised of sphalerite, galena, marcasite, and others!!!
This specimen is absolutely pristine and displays magnificently in 360-degrees!!! Simply superb in every way!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
