Description/Interesting Notes:
An amazing, old time galena stalactite from Missouri!!! This specimen consists of an aesthetic spire of silvery metallic
cubic galena crystals!!! The galena crystals are present as sharp, undamaged cubes with silvery metallic luster!!! The
crystals have complex surface features consisting of networks of very shallow cavities arranged in geometric shapes!!!
The specimen displays magnificently in 360 degrees and is complete all around!!! When viewed down the c-axis, one
can see a tiny, hollow, tube-like cavity in the center of the crystals - a classic speleothem feature!!!
This specimen is in magnificent condition all around and is simply stunning in person!!! Gorgeous old time
Joplin material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection
of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior
to the Nikischer collection this specimen was originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late
1930's until the 1970's)!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY NOVEMBER 1st!!!
