Galena with Siderite & Pyrite

Double Rainbow Mine, Deadwood, Galena District, Lawrence Co., South Dakota

4.1cm x 2.3cm x 2.2cm

Collected by Vincent & Marge Matula in 1978

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare locality specimen from South Dakota!!! This specimen hosts numerous complex galena crystals in association with orange siderite on a matrix of pyrite!!! The combination of highly complex galena crystals and siderite brings to mind the old classic German specimens - however this is a rare South Dakota beauty!!! A very rare find indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!!
