Description/Interesting Notes:
An incredible example of galena from this classic South Dakota locale!!! Let me start my saying that this specimen is WAY better than the pictures show!!! These
old time galena specimens from Galena are singularly unique!!! This specimen consists of a pair of conjoined, macle-twin galena crystals
that exhibit all kinds of highly complex features, modifications, and very curious striations on crystal faces!!!
These old time South Dakota specimens are next to impossible to come by!!! This specimen does NOT have matte luster as it seems in the pics -
the faces are actually swirled with complex designs and have brilliant, silvery metallic luster!!! This is amazing material in person!!!
Despite a few tiny cleaves that do not detract, this specimen is in terrific condition!!! You do not want to miss out on this rare opportunity!!! This specimen
is WAY better than these pics show!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired
the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting
minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was
originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY NOVEMBER 8th!!!
