Pulsifer Mine, Mt. Apatite, Auburn, Androscoggin Co., Maine
.9 x .7 x .7 inches
SOLD ON EBAY
A beautiful purple apatite from the famed Pulsifer Mine. This beautiful specimen hosts two large crystals measuring .3" and .4" respectively. There are also a few smaller crystals in the periphery. The faces are wonderfully glassy, and the crystals have a magnificent gemminess. The internal play of light is nothing short of spectacular, and the color is absolutely choice. The digital camera could not make sense of this intense color, and it sometimes rendered it bluish instead of purple or reddish instead of purple, but rest assured it is right in the middle - a perfect Pulsifer purple.
