An absolutely AMAZING fluorite crystal from this seldom represented locale. This specimen has so many stunning features that it is difficult to know where to begin! First off, the color is a phenomenal pink and green that changes dramatically depending on the angle by which it is viewed. The color intensity and color shift is much more apparent and impressive in person. The luster has a very slightly frosted finish, but the entire crystal is an exceptionally pure gem in terms of clarity! One side of the crystal has an area near the surface where there are numerous needle-like black to brownish inclusions, that are only present in an area a few millimeters deep. These crystals are believed to be astrophyllite. Perhaps the most amazing feature of this specimen is its outrageous macle-twin habit! Its crystallography is simply mind-blowing. There are also wonderful modifications, fantastic faces, and curious etchings that I have yet to see on any other fluorite that has been through my hands. This specimen also fluoreces blue under UV. This specimen is in fantastic condition, especially given the fact that many specimens from this locale often encountered on the market, are in poor shape. High quality fluorite crystals of appreciable size are exceedingly uncommon from this locale.
