A fantastic, old time phenakite from the classic Urals locale. This gorgeous gem of a specimen features a brilliant .75" phenakite crystal aesthetically perched on a matrix of mica schist, which is characteristic of specimens from this classic locale. The main crystal is glassy, gemmy, and pristine. The crystal features a somewhat unique, rounded termination, in addition to sharp glassy faces. The crystal had much better clarity than it appears in the photos, with a large portion of the crystal being quite gemmy! The crystal has marvelous internal play of light, giving it a wonderful lively appearance. This festive play of light makes the crystal appear as if it electrified, and lit up when set against the dark mica schist matrix - a feature that is quite impressive in person! This specimen displays remarkably and is well trimmed, and aesthetically balanced. There are two other smaller crystals that measure .3" and .2" respectively. Simply a superb, classic Urals phenakite.
