Collected in 1981 by John Whitmire, this specimen is from the legendary "Purple Pocket." To this day, these are the finest Mexican cobaltoan adamites ever found, and only a small percentage had vivid purple tips like this one. Most specimens from this find were tightly intergrown and were not very aesthetic, however this specimen consists of numerous well-spaced, prismatic crystals.
