This is an absolutely perfect Bunker Hill pyromorphite specimen! This incredible, competition quality specimen dates to the legendary find of apple-green pyromorphite specimens in 1980. The color on this specimen is nothing short of extraordinary. The color of the crystals near the base is a rich reddish orange, due to the increased proportion of arsenic in its composition. These crystals near the base also exhibit a somewhat different habit of a more spherical aggregate nature. The remainder of the crystals exhibit varying hues of vibrant apple greenish yellow. The colors seem to be brightest near the terminations, which makes for quite a wonderful effect in person! The majority of the crystals consist of stacked groups of slightly hoppered crystals and other more complex formations that are simply miraculous. These amazing crystals range in size up to over .5"! The luster is super glassy and practically appear wet in person - absolutely incredible! The crystals have varying degrees of translusence with some of the small crystals being astonishingly so! This specimen is so lustrous, translucent, and intensely colorful that it was very difficult to photograph. There is literally not a speck of damage on this superb gem of a specimen!
