These old time almandine garnet crystals from Avondale are next to impossible to obtain on today's market!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, single crystal of almandine garnet!!! While the crystal is only partially complete, with contacts an an old catalogue number on the reverse, it still displays fantastically - as you can see in the pics!!! The crystal has razor-sharp faces and deep red highlights!!! A classic, old time beauty!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
