Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of this rare tellurite from Tombstone!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of girdite in association with several other
rare species!!! The girdite is present as whitish, balls and groups of balls
on the specimens's broad face (as well as some on the side)!!! In addition to the
girdite, there are several other rare species present - including rodalquilarite, schieffelinite, chlorargyrite, possibly oboyerite and more!!!
There are significant crystals of unidentified species present and easily seen with minor magnification!!! This is a fantastic combination of
rare species indeed!!! The rodalquilarite is present as
greenish submillimeter crystals and masses of rodalquilarite on the specimen as well (mostly on the reverse)!!! There are tiny translucent
crystals of schieffelinite scattered about and there are several scattered masses of tannish, waxy looking chlorargyrite as well!!!
Aside from all of the associated species, this is a fantastic example of girdite indeed!!! This specimen retains an old label from
the collection of Carlton Davis as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 17th!!!
