Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of goethite from Michigan!!! This specimen consists of intergrown radiating clusters of goethite crystals!!! The crystals exhibit dark brown color with a characteristic woodgrain-like appearance!!! The top edges of the clusters exhibit and extremely lustrous, curvaceous surface that is quite striking in person!!! This specimen superficially resembles much more common examples of hematite from the region!!! This specimen is a killer in person - the pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
