Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of native gold from Russia!!! This specimen hosts numerous masses of native gold in matrix!!! The native gold is in close association with a small amount of galena and another unidentified species (soft, silvery material with no cleavage) and the quartz matrix appears to have a small amount of darkly colored schist in association as well!!! The unidentified material is a good candidate for further analysis!!! The native gold is brilliantly metallic and has a rich buttery yellow hue!!! Upon close examination some crystalline features can be seen as well!!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
