Description/Interesting Notes: A classic old time example of "roasted" telluride ore from Colorado!!! This specimen consists of a piece of telluride rich ore, that was roasted to extract the gold by old-timer prospecters!!! The inside of the specimen has been exposed an one can see a small cavity that hosts a sylvanite crystal and one can see a tiny sphere of gold that has coalesced on the outside surface!!! A terrific example of this classic material!!! This specimen is from the Colorado suite of the Jenkins collection and retains its original label!!!
