Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of native gold from this historic locale!!! This specimen consists of a very well formed crystal of native gold in association with a tiny amount of matrix!!! The crystal is actually a highly complex, distorted dodecahedron with sharp, bright metallic faces and rich buttery yellow hue!!! The crystal is solid and sharp all around!!! Classic old time material!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
