Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of native gold from this historic locale!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of brilliant native gold in association with tiny quartz points and calcite!!! The native gold is present as complex, leaf-like crystals with brilliant metallic luster and a handsome hue and patina!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see that the broad, leaf-like crystals actually show networks of crystalline features on their surfaces including numerous trigons!!! This specimen is quite rich and showy in person!!! Classic old time material from the former Transylvania!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
