Description/Interesting Notes: A rich example of native gold from this famed Colorado locality!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts significant inclusions of native gold throughout, in association with sphalerite and bustamite!!! Both sides of this specimen are polished and both show a significant amount of native gold!!! The native gold is present as several scattered areas that show dense, localized networks of gold inclusions!!! You can also see partially exposed areas of gold on the edges of the specimen as well!!! There is more visible gold than it appears in the pics - both sides of the specimen show prominent areas of native gold in person!!! There are several masses of tan to pinkish tan bustamite in association as well as some small areas of sphalerite!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
