Native Gold with Pyrite and Unknown Lubietova, Banska Bystrica Co., Banska Bystrica Region, Slovakia 4.53cm x 2.92cm x 2.33cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of native gold from this historic locality!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a few tiny crystals and grains of native gold in association with a rich showing of tiny pyrite crystals and some unidentified dark, iridescent bluish mineral (bornite?)!!! There are a couple eye visible areas of native gold however, upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see numerous minute, submillimeter grains scattered throughout the specimen as well!!! This specimen retains an old label from Forest Cureton as well!!! Examples of native gold from Lubietova are very scarce indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
