Description/Interesting Notes:
An incredible, old time example of native gold from Colorado!!! This specimen consists of a plate of small quartz points that
hosts a prominent cluster of native gold crystals in association with a small amount of arsenopyrite and sphalerite!!! The native gold crystals
have a unique, almost reddish - golden hue that is quite unique in person!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one
can see that the crystals are very well crystallized, with sharp, highly complex features and brilliant metallic luster!!! There
are also a few tiny crystals scattered about the matrix as well!!! This specimen is from the collection of George M. White and retains
its original collection label as well!!! Old material!!! Examples from this historic Colorado locality are extremely rare indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY AUGUST 30th!!!
