Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely magnificent old time example of native gold from the former "Transylvania"!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of tiny quartz points that hosts a striking 1+cm crystal of brilliant native gold!!! The gold crystal has a highly complex habit that results in a particularly showy presentation indeed!!! The surfaces have networks of sharp, crystalline details visible up close!!! This is not simply a "sheet" of native gold, but rather a very substantial crystal!!! In addition, there are numerous crystals of chalcopyrite and sphalerite aesthetically scattered about the matrix as well!!! Both the sulphides and the tiny, sharp quartz points have been selectively "dusted" with delicate siderite crystals - adding exponentially to its overall aesthetics!!! This specimen is a KILLER!!!
