Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of native gold with altaite and calaverite from Canada!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of bright native gold in association with silvery iridescent altaite and calaverite on a darkly colored quartz matrix!!! The native gold is present both on the surface of the specimen and partially included within!!! The altaite and calaverite are intergrown with the native gold in areas and show a silvery-golden color with reddish iridescent highlights!!! The associated tellurides are much more apparent than the pics show!!! This specimen is quite brilliant and showy in person!!! This specimen is from the collection of Joe Cilen and this specimen retains his original label and affixed catalogue number as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
