Native Gold (Palladium rich)

Mina Zapata, Santa Elena de Uairen, Bolívar, Venezuela

.87cm x .33cm x .18cm

.32cm x .25cm x .17cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A magnificent example of rare, palladium-rich gold from Venezuala!!! This is a pair of two indiviual crystals of native gold!!! Both specimens are complexly crystallized gold placers however they both exhibit wildly different forms!!! One crystal consists of a particularly fine single crystal that has well defined triangular faces and, on the reverse, appears to possibly be two conjoined modified octahedrons perhaps!!! The other crystal exhibits a highly complex habit that looks like spiraling hoppered spinel twins!!! Simply a fantastic example of these rare palladium rich native gold crystals from Venezuela!!! The unique form and hue are partially a result of the palladium content!!! This specimens are complete and undamaged!!! The pics hardly do this rare material justice!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
