Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of native gold from South Dakota!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of massive pyrrhotite and quartz that hosts a significant showing of buttery yellow native gold!!! The gold is present both on and included within the quartz!!! The majority of the native gold is present on the broad face of the specimen, but upon close inspection, one can find a few tiny areas of native gold elsewhere on the specimen as well!!!
