Description/Interesting Notes: A large and impressive old time example of native gold from this seldom referenced California locale!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of buttery yellow native gold scattered across its broad face and erupting from the matrix in various areas!!! Upon close inspection one can see some small areas of complex crystallization!!! This specimen was originally acquired directly from the Hanley family by Tony back in the 1970's!!! The specimen dates to the 1920's!!! This large specimen is quite impressive in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
