Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of native gold from Venezuala!!! This specimen consists of a striking cluster of highly complex crystals of native gold!!! The great majority of specimens from this locality are small, equant crystals with more or less alluvial wear - clusters are the exception, and are quite scarce by comparison!!! The specimen has rich, buttery yellow color and brilliant metallic luster!!!This striking specimen has particularly thick and "chunky, somewhat spikey crystals!!! The crystals are MUCH sharper than they appear in the pics - in person the faces and edges are much more defined!!! This is not the effect of alluvial wear - these are just very unusual and unique crystals!!! Upon close examination one can see much more detail to its crystalline features as well!!! The gold from this find is remarkably pure as well, with some crystals assaying at 99.6% pure!!! Fine clusters such as this are quite scarce from this unique locality - don't miss out!!!
